Designing for the picturesque views of the island, this villa extension project adds a swimming pool, dining and kitchen area with an exposed concrete finish. The project uses prefabricated concrete panel construction on a steep hill.
The design required a unique approach to the steep hill the villa was located on. The villa design extended out to the rear and left side of the villa, making the best use of the coast facing side of the site.
The design uses exposed concrete to contrast with the traditional villa aesthetic, making a clear distinction between the traditional old and modern new.
Pergola shelters are used for solar and rain in order to make the extension suitable during all seasons with a close connection the garden and outer landscape.
